WELCOME HOME |
|
|
The shareholders of Bangor Football Club have tonight ratified a
deal which will see the club regain full ownership of Clandeboye
Park.
The new deal will see a small strip of land at the rear
of the ground sold off to a private developer. The proceeds from
this sale will partly be used to free the club from the existing
ground deal and ultimately secure Bangor Football Club's long
term future at Clandeboye Park.
The club are also investigating the possibility of developing
a new stand on the away side of the ground.

|
|
The season kicks off for real on Saturday when Bangor host Coagh
United at Clandeboye Park in the opening match of the 2007/08

Bangor had no match
last weekend, which has given some of the players on the injury
list more time to heal. Coagh meanwhille narrowly missed out on
a Carnegie League Cup semi-final spot last weekend when they
went down 2-0 to Loughgall at Lakeview Park. Bangor can expect a
tough encounter on Saturday, with attacking duo of Scott McCordick
and Jamie Tomelty already showing some great early season form
for Coagh.
