  27th October 2007 PORTSTEWART 3 - 4 BANGOR  

News Bangor edged out Portstewart this afternoon in a seven goal thriller at Seahaven.

Bangor were 2 - 0 up after 15 minutes thanks to two strikes from Andy Morrow ( the first a spectacular one from distance). However slack defending from set pieces allowed the Seahawks to level the game at 2-2 before half - time.

Both sides had hit home second half penalties to make it 3-3 before James Bell fired home the Bangor winner with only minutes remaining.

  24th October 2007 BANGOR 3-0 DUNDELA  

News Bangor have qualified for the Final of the Carnegie League Cup following a 3-0 win over Dundela at Dixon Park on Wednesday evening.

Paul McDowell scored twice in the first half and Andy Forsythe added a classy third in the second half to seal the victory. Bangor will meet Loughgall in the Final - Date and venue to be confirmed.

  22nd October 2007 BALLYCLARE IN SEMI  
News

Bangor have been drawn against First Division rivals Ballyclare Comrades in the semi final of the Steel and Sons Cup.

The tie will be played at Seaview on Wednesday 14th November (Kick off time to be confirmed).

Brantwood will play Dundela in the other semi final which will be played on Tuesday 13th November at Taylors Avenue, Carrickfergus.

  20th October 2007 NEWINGTON YC 1 -2 BANGOR (AET)  

News Two goals from big Paul Harbinson have put Bangor into the semi-final of the Steel & Sons Cup.

Bangor looked to be heading for a 1-0 victory thanks to Harbinson's first half header, but Neil Quinn levelled the game for Newington with only minutes remaining. Harbinson then struck the winner with a cool back post finish in the first period of extra time.

News

Bangor came away from Knockramer Park on Saturday with all three points in a hard fought encounter.

Celtic took the lead in the first half when Ronan O'Hara danced his way through the Bangor defence to fire home. Bangor levelled matters early in the second half when Paul Harbinson rose highest to head in a corner from the left.

Ryan Brown saved a penalty with 10 minutes  left after the goalkeeper had hauled down Celtic substitute Kenny Camlin in the area. Ryan Brown(ii), who had earlier replaced Paul McDowell hit the winner in the closing minutes with a powerful turn and shot from inside the box.

Bangor have today agreed terms for a loan deal with Glenavon's Ross McMullan.

Bangor have successfully appealed their points allocation for the Invitational League. The Seasiders have gained an extra 45 points, to give a grand total of 498.

  2nd October 2007 STEEL & SONS CUP DRAW  
News

Bangor have been drawn away to Amateur League outfit Newington YC in the quarter final of the Steel & Sons Cup.The tie will be played on Saturday 20th October.

The fixture marks a repeat of the 2004 quarter final when Bangor came away from Muckamore Abbey with a 4-2 victory -  Mal Harbinson, Marty Verner(2) and Andy Morrow were the goalscorers for Bangor. Bangor of course went on to win the trophy that season, defeating Glentoran 2nds in the Seaview final.

The full draw is as follows: Newington YC v. Bangor; Wakehurst v. Ballyclare Comrades; Dromara Village v. Dundela; Brantwood v. H&W Welders.

Bangor and Dundela have been allocated four officials for their Carnegie League Cup semi-final match at Dixon Park on Wednesday 24th October.
