Three stunning strikes from midfielder Matty Johnston and a first half header from Ryan Arthur saw Bangor pick up three league points against Tobermore United at the Bangor Fuels Arena on Saturday afternoon.
Johnston opened the scoring in the seventh minute when he smashed in a low drive from the edge of the area that went in off the upright. Ryan Arthur made it 2-0 in the 38th minute when he rose highest to head in a Mark Cooling corner kick.
Johnston hit Bangor’s third in the 56th minute when a thunderous strike from 25 yards soared past Bednarz and clipped the crossbar before entering the net. Tobermore pulled a goal back in the 86th minute from the penalty spot before Man of the Match Matty Johnston grabbed his hat-trick with a spectacular low strike from all of 40 yards.

Bangor made it safely into the hat for the fifth round draw of the Tennent's Irish Cup with a 3-1 away win over Limavady United at the Showgrounds this afternoon.
Matty Johnston smashed Bangor into a 21st minute lead with a 25 yard strike, but Sean McCarron's 72nd minute free-kick squeezed into the bottom corner to bring the home side level again.
The hard working Gerard McMullan provided Ben Arthurs with an easy chance to put Bangor back in front in the 78th minute and Mark Cooling secured the victory with an injury time spot-kick shortly after substitute Ethan Boylan had been dismissed for a second yellow card.

A new book chronicling the history of Bangor FC will be officially launched by Bangor and Northern Ireland legend Gerry Armstrong. The book will be launched on Wednesday 27th November, from 19:15 at Bangor FC Social Club. The event will include a discussion with author Peter Vannucci and former player Gerry Armstrong.
Author Peter Vannucci said: "This book is a must for all Seasiders and fans of Irish league football. The book narrates the story of how Bangor FC established itself in the Irish League before winning their first senior trophy after over fifty years of trying. After a brief golden era at the beginning of the 1990s, which included an Irish Cup win and voyages into Europe, the Club dropped down into the second tier of Irish League football and then into the fourth tier of Northern Irish football."
"The future was bleak but a new Board of Directors steadied the ship and the Centenary Season saw the Club win its first league title, undefeated, culminating with promotion back into the Irish League structure."
One of Bangor FC’s most famous players, Gerry Armstrong said: "This is a wonderful read for all those associated with the Seasiders and I’m honoured to be officially launching the book. It is a detailed history of the Club and the trials and tribulations across its first 100 years. Well done to Peter and all those involved in compiling such a professional piece of work."
The event is free and open to all football fans.

Bangor FC has agreed an extended two-year sponsorship deal with Bangor Fuels. This ensures the home of the Seasiders will remain as the Bangor Fuels Arena.

The Seasiders got back to winning ways with a 6-2 win over Moyola Park at the Bangor Fuels Arena this afternoon.
Ben Arthurs had bagged a first half hat-trick before Chris Dowie rounded Craughwell to give Moyola some hope of a comeback before the interval.
Gerard McMullan made it 4-1 in the 53rd minute when he stroked home from 12 yards after being set up by Ben Arthurs. Moyola then pulled a goal back in the 59th minute when Dowie pounced on a Craughwell fumble.
Ben Arthurs set up Jordan Lucas in the 68th minute to spin and shoot into the corner of the net from 6 yards to make it 5-2.
Mark Cooling rounded off the scoring in the 82nd minute when he was set up by Michael Halliday to shoot past Nelson from 15 yards.

Bangor eased into the 4th Round of the Tennent’s Irish Cup with a 5-1 win over Moneyslane at Jubilee Park this afternoon.
Zach Fletcher opened the scoring in the 10th minute when he rose highest to head in a Mark Cooling corner-kick.
The Seasiders dominated much of the play in the first half and it was no surprise when Matty Johnston drilled a low shot into the corner of the net from outside the area in the 22nd minute.
Jack Wasson chased down the Moneyslane defence in the 40th minute to rob the ball for Ben Arthurs to tap into an empty net from close range.
Gareth Beattie made it 4-0 on the stroke of half-time when he raced forward on the left and exchanged a neat one-two pass with Ben Arthurs to slot the ball under the advancing Moneyslane ‘keeper.
The Seasiders continued their dominance in the second half, but Gerard McMullan was the only Bangor player who could find the net. Moneyslane grabbed a late consolation in the closing stages when they broke away down the left and a susbsequent low shot squirmed under Craughwell and into the net.

Bangor fell to their first league defeat in almost two years, losing 2-0 to a well-drilled Portstewart side at the Bangor Fuels Arena this afternoon.
Portstewart took the lead in the 59th minute when a mix up between Michael McAlinden and Darren Gibbons gifted Hudson with the opener. Twelve minutes later, Zach Barr stroked home a Portstewart penalty following a clumsy challenge by Gibbons.
The Seasiders pushed forward in the closing stages, but were unable to find a way through a very stubborn Portstewart defence.

Bangor produced a spirited performance in a 3-2 defeat to Cliftonville at Solitude in the Bet McLean League Cup last night.
Ruaidhri Donnelly lifted the ball over Jason Craughwell to give the Reds a 12th minute lead and Joe Gormley added a second with a low drive in the 38th minute to make it 2-0 at the break.
The Seasiders were given some hope n the 55th minute when Mark Cooling took advantage of a slip in the Reds' defence, but Joe Gormley was on target again in the 61st minute to make it 3-1 to Cliftonville.
A Joe Gorman own goal in the 69th minute made it 3-2 and ensured a tense finish to the game for Paddy McLaughlin's side.

Bangor made a safe passage through to the third round of the Tennents Irish Cup this afternoon with a 3-0 victory over Banbridge Rangers at Cheney Park.
Ben Arthurs opened the scoring within 20 seconds, powering in a close range header from a pinpoint Jordan Lucas cross.
The Seasiders had to wait until the 76th minute for their next goal - Gerard McMullan danced his way to the byeline and squared across the goal for an onrushing Banbridge defender to deflect the ball into his own net.
Substitute Ethan Boylan secured the win in the 89th minute when he latched on to a Mark Ballantine knock down to lift the ball over the Banbridge keeper.

NINE GOAL THRILLER
Bangor made it two wins out of two in the Bluefin Sport Premier Intermediate League this afternoon with a dramatic 6-3 win over Armagh City at Holm Park.
The Seasiders got off to the worst possible start when the defence failed to deal with a first minute corner kick and the ball was prodded over the line for Armagh's opener. Mark Cooling got Bangor back on level terms a few minutes later with a trademark 20 yard curling free-kick awarded for a late challenge on Jordan Lucas.
Armagh took the lead for a second time in the 12th minute when Craughwell punched a corner kick well out of the penalty area only to see it lashed back into the roof of the net from 25 yards. The Seasiders were back on level terms ten minutes later when a hopefully high ball into the Armagh penalty area was misjudged by the Armagh keeper and an unmarked Ryan Arthur smashed the ball into an empty net.
HALF-TIME: Armagh City 2-2 Bangor
Gerard McMullan scrambled in his 50th goal for the Seasiders in the 54th minute to give Bangor a short-lived 3-2 lead, as Armagh were back level almost straight from the kick off.
The lively Jordan Lucas was tripped inside the Armagh penalty area on the hour mark and Mark Cooling stroked home the resultant penalty to give the Seasiders a dramatic 4-3 lead. Cooling grabbed his hat-trick four minutes later with the goal of the game - a well placed 20 yard drive into the top corner of the net. Ben Arthurs bustled his way through the Armagh defence to slot home in the 69th minute to complete the scoring on a frenetic afternoon of action.

Bangor’s first PIL game in 861 days ended in a 2-0 home win over Banbridge Town at the Bangor Fuels Arena this afternoon. Barry Walsh and Ben Arthurs were on target for the Seasiders.
In a tense, but goalless first half, Banbridge twice struck the Bangor woodwork while Ben Arthurs came close at the other end with a shot that was well saved by McErlean.
Bangor came out on the front foot in the second half and soon took the lead when Barry Walsh volleyed in a rebound from the edge of the area. The Seasiders continued to dominate in the second half and Ben Arthurs latched on to a neat Matty Johnston through ball to coolly lob the ball over McErlean to make it 2-0 in the 57th minute.
Substitute Mark Ballantine came close with a header that was cleared off the goalline in the closing stages.

Bangor knocked Niall Currie's Carrick Rangers out of the Bet McLean League Cup in a thrilling match at the Bangor Fuels Arena this evening.
Carrick scrambled in a controversial opener late in the first half, but Tommy Wray headed the sides level again in the 62nd minute when he flicked a long throw-in over a stranded McAuley.
Mark Cooling powered Bangor into an 81st minute lead from the penalty spot, but Carrick equalized a minute later through Mark Kelly.
Substitute Steven Hislop was shocked to see the referee produce a red card in second half injury time, but this didn't seem to hinder the Seasiders too much in extra time.
10 man Bangor took control of the game in the first period of extra time with Ben Arthurs, Jordan Lucas and Gerard McMullan all finding the back of the Carrick net.
Carrick were on the front foot throughout the remainder of extra-time and managed to pull a goal back through former Seasider Lee Chapman to make it 5-3.

Ronan Brannigan extended Crewe's lead with a breakaway goal in the second half as Bangor pressed upfield. Ben Arthurs opened the scoring in the first minute when he powered his way on to a James Begley pass and slotted the ball past the advancing Olympic keeper. Ballynahinch were back level in the 33rd minute when referee Keith Halliday awarded a penalty for a trip in the area.
Ballynahinch soaked up some early Bangor pressure in the second half and took a surprise lead in the 52nd minute when a deep free kick was headed over Craughwell and into the corner of the Bangor net.
A rash challenge in the penalty area on Mark Ballantine gave Bangor the chance to level matters in the 56th minute, but substitute Michael Halliday saw his penalty kick well saved by the Olympic keeper. The Seasiders weren't to be denied and it wasn't long before a Mark Ballantine header across the goalmouth was powered over the line by Ryan Arthur from close range.

Bangor’s final game of the season saw them hosting Ballynahinch Ladies, with both taking a share of the points. The first half was a fairly even contest with most of the play end to end. Bangor defended well when under pressure and had a couple of opportunities from corners but no real chances were created by either team. The game remained goalless at half time.
The second half commenced much the same as the first however Bangor were getting the ball down more and pressing forward. A free kick was awarded to Ballynahinch outside the 18 yard box and a great strike saw Bangor go a goal down. After the restart Bangor upped a gear and fresh legs made an impact. A great cross from the right saw Jessica run in and have her header saved but Charlotte followed up in the box to smash the ball home! Following this, a great 1 on 1 save at the other end by Anna saw both teams end the game with a point.

Bangor made it through to the second round of the Toals Steel & Sons Cup this afternoon with a 2-1 win over holders East Belfast at Inverary Avenue.
Both sides came close to scoring in the first half, with Paul Dickson and Ben Arthurs both striking the East Belfast woodwork. At the other end, East Belfast struck Darren Gibbons' upright and also had a goal ruled out for offside. Matty Johnston finally slotted in the opener on the stroke of half-time following neat work from Mark Cooling and Michael Halliday on the left.
East Belfast started the second half brightly, and the leveller came in controversial circumstances on the hour when Lewis Irwin broke through to slot the ball past Darren Gibbons.
However, Bangor fought back and Mark Cooling fired home a 73rd minute penalty kick to secure the narrow win for the Seasiders.
Bangor will now face Crewe United at the Bangor Fuels Arena in the second round of the Toals Steel & Sons Cup on Saturday, 24th August.

Zac Fletcher has re-joined the Seasiders for the 2019/20 season. Zac, who can play in either midfield or defence made 3 starting appearances and scored one goal for the Seasiders last season before leaving for Cambodia.

It turned into a great night for Bangor after a sluggish start to the game. Bangor picked up only their second win of the season but made the most of it scoring 7 goals on the night!
Bangor started slow and allowed PSNI to grab an early goal. This brought Bangor to life more and they created many opportunities for goals but just couldn’t find that finishing touch. Just before half time, Beth found herself able to run at the PSNI defence and hit a low shot which landed in the bottom corner of the net. 1-1 was the score at half time.
The second half again started slow with Bangor again going a goal behind to the 10 players of PSNI. However this spurred Bangor on and they continued to dominate the rest of the game. Bangor got a free kick outside the 18 yard box which was driven into the goal by Chloe Davison to get us back on level terms. Bangor then hit a patch of 4 quick goals through some excellent passing and moving. The ball was squared to Sam on the edge of the box who hit the top corner to put us ahead. More great triangles between the middle and left hand side allowed Sophie to cut in and get her name on the scoresheet. Lone also found the back of the net with a long range drive before Tasha found herself free in the box and slotted the ball home. Bangor played some lovely controlled football, keeping the ball down as much as possible and making use of the big pitch and extra man. The final goal came from Beth again who, with her back to goal, turned past the defender and fired in the shot!
A really positive display from Bangor tonight and great to see the girls enjoying the game and encouraging each other. Credit to PSNI ladies who, with 10 players, kept battling and caused a few problems for Bangor at times.

Bangor had a good workout at Seaview this afternoon in the final game of pre-season. David Cushley put the Crues ahead after 10 minutes when he drilled a low 30 yard shot past Darren Gibbons. Veteran defender Colin Coates scored a second for the Crues when he headed in a corner-kick six minutes later.
Ben Arthurs and Matty Johnston both went close to scoring for Bangor and Matty Burrows was very unlucky to see his audacious 30 yard chip came back off the Crusaders crossbar in the 80th minute.

2018/19 Goal of the Season winner Jack Mallin has joined Knockbreda. Jack joined Bangor at the start of last season and scored six goals for the Seasiders.

Bangor lost 4-2 to a slick Ards side in the Spectator and Chronicle Cup at the Bangor Fuels Arena this evening.
The Seasiders found themselves three goals down after just 17 minutes, with McMillan, Nelson and McLellan all on target for Ards. McAllister added number four for Ards soon after the break.
The Seasiders began to find their way into the game in the latter stages and a double strike from Jack Wasson made the scoreline a bit more respectable for Bangor.

Bangor travelled to play top of the league side, St James Swifts Ladies, with the home team coming away with all three points.
Bangor started brightly playing some good football in the middle and defending well considering some playing in new positions due to injuries and holidays. Well done to Robyn McFadden on her debut for the team, a solid performance despite not playing her normal position! St James began to press on and a series of quick goals saw Bangor trail 4-0 at half time.
After the restart Swifts scored quickly but for the remainder of the match Bangor continued to get the ball down and create chances. In the final ten minutes, tired legs showed and again the Swifts capitalised to end the game 7-0 winners. Unfortunately the game was blown up slightly early as Serena landed awkwardly requiring further treatment and we wish her a speedy recovery!

Bangor returned to winning ways this afternoon with a 3-1 victory over Lisburn Rangers at Stanley Park. Gerard McMullan broke the deadlock after 37 minutes with a neat near post finish. Second half strikes from substitute Matty Burrows and Ethan Boylan secured the win for Bangor. Former Seasider Billy Youle grabbed a late consolation for Rangers in the closing minutes.
In today's other fixtures at Ballywooley, a Bangor XI defeated Grove United 3-2 before losing 2-1 to Sirocco Works in the Bryansburn Rangers Tournament Final.

Bangor fell to a 2-1 away defeat to Killyleagh in a pre-season friendly this evening. The Seasiders went behind after just five minutes when a defensive error gifted Killyleagh with their opener. Killyleagh extended their lead in the 74th minute when the Bangor defence failed to deal with a corner kick from the left.
The Seasiders pulled a goal back in the 81st minute when Matty Johnston advanced down the right and floated in a perfect cross for Ryan Arthur to nod the ball over the line from close range.

Bangor ran out 3-1 winners over Albert Foundry at the Bangor Fuels Arena this evening.
Ben Arthurs put the Seasiders in front with a deft lob from the edge of the area in the 10th minute. Arthurs then pounced on a defensive error in the 23rd minute to roll the ball into an empty net for Bangor's second. Substitute Mark Ballantine made it 3-0 in the 47th minute with a fine turn and shot from the edge of the area.
Foundry pulled a goal back in the 58th minute when veteran striker David Rainey struck home a penalty after he was brought down in the area.

Bangor Football Club are pleased to welcome Chris Getty back to the Bangor Fuels Arena. The 32 year old central defender played 40 games for the club under Hugh Sinclair before leaving in January for Championship side Ballyclare Comrades. We welcome Chris back for what will be his third spell at the club.

Bangor produced a ring rusty performance this evening as they kicked off their pre-season with a 4-1 defeat to H&W Welders at the Bangor Fuels Arena. The only real highlight of the first half for Bangor was when Ben Arthurs headed in a Niall Atkinson free kick. Trailing 2-1 at the break, Bangor brought on six substitutes. Bangor were unable to find the net in the second half and the Welders secured their win thanks to an own goal and a strike from former Seasider Lukasz Gwiazda.

The draw for the Tennent's Irish Cup 1st Round was made on Thursday evening and the Seasiders will travel to take on Ballynahinch Olympic.
This tie will take place on Saturday, 17th August at 1:30pm. A new date for the PIL fixture which had originally been scheduled for that day has yet to be arranged.

This was our third encounter of the season with Portadown, with them coming away with the win on previous occasions.
Bangor looked sharp from the start with some excellent football and pressing, going forward. This payed off as a great ball in from Serena found Tasha Afrifa at the back post who comfortably fired past the keeper! The game continued end to end but Portadown pulled a goal back as the game headed into half time.
The second half was an even affair however Bangor again took the lead by Leanne McGarry from a corner. Portadown started to apply more pressure and managed to again make the scores level. Around the 90 minute mark the game was blown up as Bangor keeper, Anna, landed awkwardly requiring further treatment. We wish her a speedy recovery. Another point on the board for us as we continue to progress and achieve!

The Seasiders will kick off the league season with a home fixture to Dollingstown on Saturday, 17th August and are scheduled to finish the campaign on Saturday, 25th April 2020 with an away trip to Tobermore United.

As we started the second half of the season, Bangor finally picked up their first 3 points in the league!
Bangor travelled to Holm Park on Wednesday to face Armagh for the second time in a week. The game started fairly evenly with both teams having good passages of play and the score remained level at half time. Bangor knew they had a big opportunity to drive on after the restart and they did just that! A great ball in fell to striker Serena Erskine, who found the back of the net to put Bangor ahead. Bangor doubled their tally within 10 minutes as a good lay-off allowed Geraldine McCabe to curl one into the top corner. A great all-round performance from Bangor and coming home with three points was well deserved. A great confidence boost as we look towards the next game!!

Pre-season training for the 2019/20 season started on Thursday evening and the club were pleased to announce that a number of last season's double winning squad have now decided to extend their stay at the Bangor Fuels Arena. The names confirmed on Thursday were Forwards: Ben Arthurs, Michael Halliday and Matty Burrows; Midfielders: Mark Cooling, Jack Wasson and Niall Atkinson; Defenders: Ryan Arthur, Michael Edgar, Paul Dickson and Matthew Johnston. Goalkeeper Darren Gibbons will also feature for the Seasiders next season.
Our midfield will also be bolstered by the return of former-Seasider Barry Walsh. Barry left Bangor for Queens in 2017 where he won both PIL and Intermediate Cup honours last season.

Bangor were back in league action last week as they hosted Armagh City. The conditions weren’t ideal for a match but both teams tried to get the ball down and play on the fast surface. Bangor created a couple of opportunities down the wings but just couldn’t find the back of the net with the game finishing goalless at half time.
The remainder of the match was an even affair but a long ball over the top found the Armagh striker who put it in the back of the net! Bangor threatened right on the final whistle as a freekick struck off the crossbar but it was the visitors who went home with 3 points!

It was League Cup action on Wednesday night as we travelled to Portadown for our second meeting in a week. Bangor started the game well and applied good pressure but just couldn’t find a goal. Portadown went in 1-0 up at half time. Bangor pulled a goal back mid way through the second half through some great football and a neat finish from Barthe McCormick. The remainder of the game saw both teams trying to find the breakthrough but the game was forced into extra time, with Portadown nicking the win!
Despite the result, Bangor showed great fight and continue to improve week to week. Each player worked tirelessly for the team for the whole 110 minutes and congratulations to Serena Erskine and Niamh Johnston who came off the bench for their debuts for BLFC.

Bangor FC will introduce a reserve team from the 2019/20 season. The new set-up will be an important addition to the playing infrastructure and is envisaged as a bridge for youth players and the first XI. The side will compete in the Championship/Premier Intermediate development league.
The management team will include Dean Gordon as manager and Greg Ross as assistant manager. Bangor FC director Graham Bailie said: "I'm pleased that we have added a reserve team to the Bangor FC playing structure. Dean is well known within the local football scene and the Club is confident that he and his team will prove to be exceptional additions to the Seasiders staff." Graham continued: “The immediate challenge is building a team that will help support the first team when necessary. We're also looking to provide a platform for our younger players on their journey to the current Premier Intermediate standard and beyond.
"I'm glad Dean and Greg have agreed to join our management structure. We know and trust each other. This is an exciting time at the Club and we genuinely are looking forward to the reserve team kicking-off the season."
Bangor FC Reserve team manager Dean Gordon said: “It is with great pride that I have accepted the reserve team manager role at Bangor FC. I spent a few seasons with the Club during my playing days and I know there are some fantastic footballing people leading the club. It is no surprise Bangor FC are in a good position and are on the up. “When Greg and I spoke with the Board, we were completely sold on being a part of Bangor FC. What they are doing, on and off the pitch, is a credit to local football. It is a great example of what you can achieve when things are done right.
"We are building a reserve team, pretty much from scratch. We will have to work hard to make sure we can support the first team, if required. Bangor FC is building a reputation for success, so, it's about making sure we are in a good place for the start of the season. The whole direction, vision and planning that the Board has shared with us is extremely exciting. I can't wait to get started and be a part of it."

A magnificent travelling support saw Bangor bring down the curtain on a record breaking centenary season by lifting the McReynolds Cup this evening.
Tonight's goals were scored by Michael Halliday, Scott McArthur, Gerard McMullan & Ben Arthurs.

Michael Halliday grabbed a hat trick as Bangor finished the 2018/19 league season with a 4-3 win over Desertmartin at Dromore Park. The Seasiders now have an incredible league record of: Won 27, Drawn 1, Lost 0, Goals For 115, Goals Against 24, Pts 82
Michael Halliday fired the Seasiders in front in the opening minute, but a Matthew Scott struck a penalty past stand-in Bangor 'keeper Steven Hislop in the third minute.
Halliday was on target again after 5 minutes when he was on hand to head home a Ben Roy cross. The home side were back level after 10 minutes when a corner kick was bundled over the line.
Halliday completed his hat trick when he fired home a penalty kick for the Seasiders to make it 3-2 after 34 minutes.
Bangor striker Ben Arthurs pulled on the goalkeeper's shirt at half time but was caught out when the ball was blasted past him at his near post in the 63rd minute. Bangor got their noses back in front when Mark Cooling struck home a penalty in the 75th minute. The Seasiders were awarded their third penalty of the afternoon in the 77th minute, but Paul Dickson's low strike was saved by the Desertmartin 'keeper.

BANGOR 4-2 NEWTOWNE
The Bangor team finally got to receive the league trophy on Saturday afternoon following a nervy 4-2 win over Newtowne at the Bangor Fuels Arena. The Seasiders had to dig deep to pull off the victory, but the goals eventually came from Matty Burrows(2), Gerard McMullan and Michael Halliday.
The Seasiders suffered a setback when injury sidelined goalkeeper Darren Gibbons at the end of the a scoreless first half and Steven Hislop was forced to take over between the posts. Newtowne took a shock 58th minute lead when Massan drilled the ball past Hislop from inside the area. Bangor were back in the game five minutes later when substitute Matty Burrows latched on to a neat Ben Arthurs through ball to fire home.
Bangor had to wait until the 78th minute to take the lead - Gerard McMullan cut in from the left to drill the ball past Hegan. McMullan was at the heart of the action three minutes later when he produced an audacious rabona cross for Matty Burrows to head past Hegan to make it 3-1.
The Seasiders survived another scare when Newtowne pulled a goal back in the 83rd minute, but Michael Halliday had restored Bangor's two goal advantage within a minute when he headed in a Mark Cooling corner kick.
There were jubilant scenes after the game when the Seasiders lifted the league trophy in front of an ecstatic home support.

Bangor FC mark return to women’s football by joining forces with Bangor Ladies.
Bangor FC has joined forces with Bangor Ladies FC who will become the Seasiders team in Division One of the NI Women’s Football Association League.
Bangor FC Chairman Nicky Davidson said: "I’m really pleased that Bangor Ladies is part of Bangor FC. Bangor have this afternoon had confirmation from the Northern Ireland Football League that the Seasiders have been promoted to the Bluefin Sport Premier Intermediate League for the 2019/20 season.
Promotion has been the club's number one objective since it was relegated from Irish League football in 2017.
This news is a reward for the loyalty, drive and determination which has been displayed on and off the field by the management, players, supporters, volunteers, sponsors and club officials.
The club would also like to thank the Ballymena & Provincial Intermediate League for its welcome and the assistance offered to the club over the past two seasons.
We look forward to the remainder of this season, including a cup final on 17th May.

Bangor recorded a remarkable ninth league win in eighteen days this afternoon with a 2-0 victory over Glebe Rangers at the Bangor Fuels Arena.
The Seasiders took the lead in the 16th minute when Gerard McMullan placed the ball under Dunn for his thirteenth goal of the season. Scott McArthur broke the offside trap in the 32nd minute to round the keeper and slide the ball in from a tight angle.
The second half rarely sparked into life, but Jack Mallin, Matty Burrows and Gareth Beattie all had good chances for Bangor.

BANGOR SECURE LEAGUE TITLE
Bangor secured the Ballymena and Provincial Intermediate League title on Thursday evening with a 3-1 win over St. James Swifts at Suffolk Road.
Gerard McMullan broke through to score the opener for Bangor after 17 minutes, but Marty Murray looped the ball over Gibbons to level it for the Swifts after half an hour.
Both sides squandered several excellent chances before the break, with Scott McArthur and Ben Arthurs shooting wide from great positions and the Swifts firing one off Bangor’s crossbar.
The breakthrough for Bangor came in the 64th minute when Ben Arthurs caused havoc in the Swifts’ area and lashed the ball home from 10 yards.
Defender Tommy Wray extended Bangor’s lead in the 75th minute when he powered home a Mark Cooling corner kick. Mark Clarke was dismissed for the Swifts as Bangor celebrated.
The Bangor defence withstood some late pressure from St.James, but in the end held firm to secure the win and the club’s first ever league title while playing as Bangor F.C.

Bangor took a step closer to clinching the League title this evening with a resounding 6-1 victory over Donegal Celtic at Suffolk Road.
Michael Halliday produced a moment of quality after 21 minutes when he picked out Ethan Boylan who headed home from 6 yards. However Bangor's celebrations were short-lived as DC were back level within a minute when a poorly marked corner kick was headed past Gibbons.
Bangor got back in front in the 35th minute when Ethan Boylan was on target for his second of the night from the penalty spot after he had been hauled down in the area.
Mark Cooling stroked in a glorious third for Bangor from the edge of the area in the 54th minute and four minutes later Scott McArthur rounded the keeper to slot in Bangor's 100th League goal of the season.
Cooling raced through to slide the ball under the advancing Celtic keeper for number five in the 64th minute and substitute Ben Arthurs completed the scoring with a well struck finish from the edge of the area in the 71st minute.
A draw on Thursday night OR one more win from any of our three other remaining league fixtures will be enough to secure the title for Bangor.

BANGOR GO TOP WITH HALLIDAY HAT-TRICK
Bangor moved to the top of the league table with a 6-1 victory over Cookstown Youth at a warm and sunny Bangor Fuels Arena this afternoon.
Bangor took the lead midway through the first half when Ben Arthurs' goalbound header was poked over the line by Matty Burrows. Bangor were awarded a penalty for a clumsy challenge on Ben Arthurs in first half stoppage time - Mark Cooling made no mistake from the penalty spot.
Cookstown Youth were given a lifeline in the 57th minute when Tavares robbed the ball from Gareth Beattie and raced through to fire past Gibbons.
The Seasiders survived a nervous 10 minutes, but two quick dismissals saw the Cookstown team reduced to 9 men with 15 minutes to play. Substitute Michael Halliday took full advantage by stretching to poke in a cross from Ben Arthurs for number three and he then danced his way through the defence to prod home number four with two minutes left on the clock.
Ben Arthurs chipped in with a goal in the 89th minute and Halliday completed his hat-trick with a penalty in injury time after he had been fouled inside the area.

Bangor closed the gap at the top of the table to three points this evening with a 3-0 win over Dunloy at McCamphill Park.
The Seasiders were on top for much of the first half but had to wait until the 48th minute to find a breakthrough. Scott McArthur was on hand to score when a Michael Halliday shot was parried out by the Dunloy keeper.
An unmarked Ben Arthurs made it 2-0 in the 62nd minute when a Jordan Lucas cross was flicked on to the far post. Four minutes later Michael Halliday glanced in a long throw-in from Ryan Arthur to make it 3-0.

Bangor continued their excellent run of league form this evening with a thrilling 4-2 victory over Ballynure OB at Mossley Park.
The Seasiders fell behind midway through the first half when Kyle Abernethy prodded in a low near post cross from the left. Bangor were level eleven minutes later when Scott McArthur fired in a Paul Dickson cross from the edge of the area.
Bangor brought on Ben Arthurs and Gerard McMullan at half-time, but fell behind when a defensive lapse allowed Bobbie Crowe to loop the ball over Gibbons' head and into the net.
Hugh Sinclair brought on substitute Ethan Boylan and he had an almost instant impact when he volleyed home a Ben Roy corner to make it 2-2 after 67 minutes. The goal of the night came in the 70th minute when Ben Roy unleashed a thunderbolt of a shot from 30 yards which crashed into the net off the crossbar.
Ben Arthurs sealed the game in injury time when he was on hand to nod in a Gerard McMullan cross across the goalmouth.

Bangor had to twice come from behind to secure a 5-3 victory over Newtowne at a very blustery Scroggy Road this afternoon.
A Mark Cooling 40 yard wind assisted free kick sailed into the net after 5 minutes, but two well taken goals on 14' and 19' saw Newtowne take the lead.
Ryan Arthur rose highest to head Bangor level on the hour, but Newtowne were back in front within a few minutes when a 25 yard strike caught the wind and sailed into the top corner of Darren Gibbons' net giving the Bangor keeper no chance.
Ben Arthurs bustled his way through the Newtowne defence to blast in a leveller in the 76th minute, and a few minutes later, Bangor were in front when substitute Michael Halliday headed in number four from close range.
Mark Cooling ended an afternoon of high drama with a magnificent dipping 20 yard free-kick.

A barrage of second half goals saw Bangor overcome a difficult Ballymoney side at the Riada Stadium this evening. Bangor looked to be out of sorts for much of the first half, but still managed to take the lead in the 17th minute when Ben Arthurs headed in a a pinpoint cross from Matthew Johnston on the right. Ballymoney looked dangerous throughout the first half and they were gifted a goal from slack defending on a corner kick in the 22nd minute.
A revitalised Bangor side were back in front just moments into the second half . Scott McArthur powered home a bullet header from a well delivered ball from the left. McArthur was the provider five minutes later when he raced to the byeline and pulled the ball back across the goalmouth for Ben Arthurs to tap in his second of the game.
Ballymoney were reduced to 10 men just after the hour and it wasn't long after that Gerard McMullan kept his cool to slide in Bangor's 4th of the night.
Lively substitute Jordan Lucas started and finished off a fine passing move in the 77th minute for Bangor's fifth.

Bangor ran out 4-0 winners over Chimney Corner at Allen Park this evening. Ben Arthurs opened the scoring after just three minutes when he rose highest to glance in a Ben Roy cross from the left.
Scott McArthur pounced on a rebound off the keeper to fire home Bangor's second in the 27th minute. Ben Arthurs did well to control a long ball over the top and loft the ball over the keeper for Bangor's third in the 31st minute.
It looked very much like Gerard McMullan had given Bangor their fourth goal on the hour when his shot canoned down off the crossbar and appeared to have crossed the line. No goal was awarded.
Chimney Corner were reduced to ten men in the 71st minute when Scott McArthur was tripped when clean through on goal - Mark Cooling curled in the resultant free-kick to complete the scoring.

Bangor crashed out of the Crawford Cup this afternoon, losing on penalties to Cookstown Youth following a 3-3 draw at the Bangor Fuels Arena.
Bangor fell behind in the opening minute when Darren Gibbons misjudged a cross and presented Cookstown with an easy chance to score from close range. The Seasiders got back in the game in the 13th minute when Michael Halliday stroked home a penalty kick.
Gerard McMullan put Bangor in front when he headed home a Matty Burrows cross in the 39th minute, but Cookstown Youth were back level soon after the restart when Stewart bundled in a deep cross.
A neat finish from Matty Burrows gave Bangor a 3-2 lead in the 70th minute, but a disastrous back pass from Scott McArthur in the 80th minute gave Steven Arrell an easy chance to make the score 3-3.
Despite seeing Cookstown Youth reduced to 9 men through injury in the closing stages of the second half, Bangor failed to drive home their numerical advantage and the game headed for extra time.
Cookstown defended with resilience in extra time and with no further scoring the game ended with a penalty shootout.
Michael Halliday, Ben Roy and Gareth Beattie found the net with their spot kicks, while Gerard McMullan and Tommy Wray saw their shots saved and Matty Burrows lofted his kick over the bar.
We would like to wish Cookstown Youth every success in the rest of their Crawford Cup campaign this year and we wish their injured players a very speedy recovery.

Bangor officials were shocked yesterday afternoon as they witnessed a sinkhole open up on the away side of the Bangor Fuels Arena.The 20ft deep chasm, which is being called ‘Sinky’ has swallowed up the home dugout and the television gantry. A club official who witnessed the event said 'We are quite used to hearing large booming noises come from the home dugout area, but we knew Hugh wasn't in the ground at the time. When we looked over, the dugout and the gantry had completely gone!'
Thankfully the sinkhole has had no impact on the playing surface and there will be no disruption to matches at the Bangor Fuels Arena. The sinkhole has been safely cordoned off with bollards and players will be warned to take care with their run ups on long throw-ins. The home dugout will be replaced by a yellow and blue gazebo with matching deckchairs for the remainder of the season while a forklift truck will provide a temporary vantage point for the club cameraman.

Bangor made it through to the Final of the McReynolds Cup this afternoon with a 3-0 victory over Glebe Rangers at the Bangor Fuels Arena.
Gerard McMullan curled in the opener from 20 yards on the stroke of half-time and the second half had barely started when Ethan Boylan was set up neatly by Ben Arthurs and his half-volley soared into the top corner of the net.
Darren Gibbons had to produce several fine second half stops to maintain a clean sheet, before substitute Ben Roy drilled in a low 20 yard strike in the 88th minute for Bangor's third.
The Seasiders will face either Coagh United or St. James Swifts in the McReynolds Cup Final. (Date to be confirmed)

Bangor had to dig deep to get the result against a very well organised Coagh United side at Hagan Park this afternoon. Substitute Scott McArthur caused confusion in Coagh's six yard box in the 69th minute when a Gerard McMullan header looked to have been saved on the line, but the ball somehow ended up in the back of the net.
Michael Halliday, Ethan Boylan and Gerard McMullan all went close for Bangor who were left hanging on to their narrow lead in the closing stages of the match. Darren Gibbons was on hand to tip a looping shot over the crossbar in the final moments of a what was a very tight game.

Bangor missed out on a place in the O'Gorman Cup Final this evening, losing 4-3 on penalties to St. James Swifts at Suffolk Road.
Following a scrappy first half, Brendan Glackin got on the end of a corner kick on the left to give the Swifts a 58th minute lead. Bangor fought back and substitute Ben Arthurs scrambled in the leveller after 72 minutes. Gerard McMullan came close to a late winner in the 86th minute, but his side-footed effort clipped the crossbar on the way over.
With the game tied at 1-1 and no goals in extra-time, the sides faced a penalty shootout. On target for Bangor were Ben Roy, Matty Burrows and Ben Arthurs while Matthew Johnston saw his effort go just wide and Scott McArthurs' effort was saved.

Ben Arthurs set the Seasiders on their way when he powered home a near post header in the 4th minute. Two first half goals against Wakehurst were enough to see Bangor through to the semi-final stage of the McReynolds Cup at the Bangor Fuels Arena this afternoon.
Defender Ryan Arthur headed in a Jordan Lucas cross after seven minutes and Zach Fletcher notched up his first goal for the Seasiders just before half-time following good work from Gerard McMullan on the left.

Bangor closed the gap on league leaders Glebe Rangers to six points with a remarkable 4-0 win at a wet and windy Riada Stadium this evening.
Both sides struggled with the conditions in the first half and chances were very much at a premium. The deadlock was broken in the 43rd minute when Tommy Wray glanced a header against the upright and Ben Arthurs tapped in the rebound from close range.
The Seasiders turned on the style in the second half despite playing against the wind. Ben Roy slammed in Bangor's second goal of the night in the 72nd minute and six minutes later, Ben Arthurs raced through to place the ball in the bottom corner of the net.
The goal of the night came in the 80th minute when Matthew Johnston drove in a 30 yard strike that went in off the crossbar.

Hugh Sinclair made eleven changes to the starting line-up as Bangor progressed into the quarter-final stage of the Crawford Cup with a 3-1 win over Killymoon Rangers at the Bangor Fuels Arena this afternoon.
Michael Halliday headed home a Jordan Lucas cross from the right after 12 minutes and Matty Burrows raced through two minutes later to score a debut goal.
The Bangor defence appeared to be briefly unsettled when Darren Gibbons replaced the injured Paul Cairnduff on the half hour. Killymoon found a way back into the game in the 32nd minute when a corner kick was poorly cleared and Richard Donaghy headed in from 10 yards.
Gerard McMullan smashed home a rebound off the 'keeper in the 62nd minute to secure the victory for Bangor in a largely uneventful second half.
Bangor will face Cookstown Youth at the Bangor Fuels Arena in the quarter-final stage of the Crawford Cup.(Date to be confirmed).

Bangor closed the gap on league leaders Glebe Rangers to six points with a 3-0 win over Brantwood at Skegoneill Avenue this evening.
A clinical first half double strike from Ethan Boylan gave Bangor a two goal lead at the break. The lively Scott McArthur jinked his way through the Brantwood defence in the 49th minute to provide an easy chance for Ben Arthurs who tapped in Bangor's third goal from close range.
Substitute Gerard McMullan, who replaced the injured Boylan, was a constant threat on the left and was unlucky to see one chance strike the woodwork and another cleared off the line.

Bangor scored their 100th goal of the season in recording a 6-0 league win over Wakehurst at the Ballymena Showgrounds this afternoon.
A perfectly weighted pass from right-back Matthew Johnston allowed Scott McArthur to pull the ball back from the byeline for Ben Arthurs to tap in Bangor's opener after 13 minutes. Bangor's second came in the 32nd minute when a Jack Wasson cross from the left was parried by the Wakehurst stand-in keeper to the feet of the lively Scott McArthur who looped the ball back in to the unguarded net.
Jack Mallin put Bangor 3-0 up a few minutes later when he floated the ball from wide on the left into the top corner of the net.
Bangor were 4-0 up soon after the interval. In a replica of the first goal, Scott McArthur pulled a ball back from the bye line for Ben Arthurs to tap in his 4th goal of the week. Bangor were rarely troubled at the back and the fifth goal came after a great move that was finished by the lively Scott McArthur from the edge of the penalty area.
Niall Atkinson smashed in Bangor's sixth goal of the afternoon in the 71st minute when he smashed home the rebound off a saved Zach Fletcher shot.
Bangor are nine points behind league leaders Glebe Rangers, but the Seasiders have four games in hand.

Bangor had to come from behind to gain a 4-1 win over St. James Swifts in front of a bumper crowd at the Bangor Fuels Arena tonight.
St James took a shock early lead in the 12th minute when an unmarked Sean Pat Donnelly headed past the stranded Paul Cairnduff.
The Seasiders had to wait until the 32nd minute to find their way back into the game - Ben Arthurs caused chaos in the Swifts defence and the ball somehow ended up in the back of the net.
Bangor went ahead two minutes later when Ben Arthurs looped a 12 yard header into the corner of the net. Ethan Boylan then scrambled in a rebound to make it 3-1 just before the interval.
Bangor withstood some early second half pressure from the Swifts and extended their lead to 4-1 in the 62nd minute when Ben Arthurs crossed for Ethan Boylan to slot in his second of the night.
A superb all round team performance from Bangor who now travel to play Wakehurst in the league on Saturday.

A much changed Bangor side made it through to the second round of the Crawford Cup at McCamphill Park, Dunloy this afternoon.
Niall Atkinson fired Bangor into a sixth minute lead with a well placed 20 yard free kick that crashed in off the Dunloy crossbar. The homesters fought back and a double strike from Karl Fitzpatrick gave Dunloy a 2-1 lead at the interval.
The game burst in to life minutes in to the second half when Dunloy were reduced to ten men - a goalbound Michael Halliday header was handled on the line. Halliday made no mistake from the resultant penalty.
Bangor's winner came in the 68th minute when Scott McArthur drilled home a low 25 yard shot. Bangor's Gareth Beattie ballooned a penalty kick over the crossbar in the dying minutes while Dunloy squandered a great chance to level matters with virtually the last kick of the game.
Bangor will face Killymoon Rangers in the second round of the Crawford Cup. (Date to be confirmed).

Bangor were left to rue a number of missed second half chances as they failed to make it through to the next round of the Intermediate Cup at the Bangor Fuels Arena this afternoon.
In a tight first half, Matthew Johnston was unfortunate to see his 35 yard strike come back of the Crumlin crossbar. Even though the Seasiders had the Crumlin Star goalmouth under seige for much of the second half, they could not find a way through and the game remained goalless after 90 minutes.
Mark Cooling finally broke the deadlock early in the first period of extra time when he slotted the ball low into the corner of the net from the edge of the area. The Seasiders looked to be heading for victory until Crumlin Star substitute Miguel Chines scrambled home an equaliser with only a few minutes remaining. Chines broke through the Bangor defence once again to slide the ball low into the corner of the net in the final minute to give Crumlin a surprise lead. However Bangor fought back and Ethan Boylan made it 2-2 with the final kick of the game.
Crumlin got the better of the penalty shootout as they scored with all their spot kicks while Bangor's Matthew Johnston and Gerard McMullan saw their penalties saved.

Second half goals from Michael Halliday and Ben Roy gave Bangor a deserved 2-0 win over Dunloy in the first round of the McReynolds Cup at the Bangor Fuels Arena this afternoon.
After a goalless first half, Bangor took the lead in the 49th minute when a floated cross from the lively Scott McArthur on the right drifted over the Dunloy keeper's head and gave the onrushing Michael Halliday an easy opportunity to prod the ball over the line.
Ben Roy latched on to a Michael Halliday pass on the edge of the area to drill home Bangor's second goal of the afternoon in the 67th minute.
Dunloy were reduced to 10 men in the closing stages on an afternoon where Darren Gibbons was rarely troubled.
Bangor will be at home to either Wakehurst or Cookstown RBL in the second round of the McReynolds Cup. (Date to be confirmed)

Leaving Bangor this week to return to his former club Ballyclare Comrades is Andy Long.
Andy first joined the Seasiders at the start of the 2010/11 season and went on to make over 250 appearances for the club. During that time he was part of Bangor's Intermediate Cup(2014) and O'Gorman Cup (2018) winning sides.
The club would like to thank Andy for his commitment, determination and service to the club and we wish him well on his move.

We are please to announce the signing of Scott McArthur on loan from Ards until the end of the season.
The pacey forward featured for the Seasiders in the 2017/18 pre-season and was cup-tied for today's Intermediate Cup game.
Departing Bangor for Sirocco Works earlier this week was midfielder Sammy Devine. Sammy joined the Seasiders in August 2017 and made 25 appearances last season. Sammy was also part of the O'Gorman Cup winning team. We wish him well with his new club.

Bangor had to come from 2-0 down to turn around this afternoon's Intermediate Cup tie against Saintfield United at the Bangor Fuels Arena.
Slack defending allowed Saintfield to race into a two goal lead after 14 minutes, but Bangor rallied and Jack Mallin found the net from outside the box for the Seasiders in the 16th minute. The sides were level at 2-2 when Jack Wasson chested in a Ben Roy cross from the left in the 36th minute.
Bangor pushed themselves in front four minutes into the second half when Ben Arthurs rifled the ball into the roof of the net from three yards out. The Seasiders extended their lead further when Gerard McMullan smashed one on in from 25 yards after 55 minutes.
Ben Roy drilled in Bangor's fifth from distance before Childs pulled one back for Saintfield in the 83rd minute. Jack Mallin crossed from the right in the 85th minute to set up substitute Michael Halliday for Bangor's sixth goal.

Bangor eased their way into the semi-final stage of the O'Gorman Cup this afternoon with a 5-1 home win over Dunloy.
Michael Halliday fired the Seasiders in front with a spot kick awarded for hand ball after 23 minutes and Ben Roy smashed home the second a few minutes later following great work from Gerard McMullan on the left.
Striker Ben Arthurs nodding a third for the Seasiders ten minutes into the second half and the returning Niall Atkinson produced a moment of magic from the edge of the area to make it 4-0.
A moment of madness in the Bangor defence allowed Declan McGarry to pull one back for Dunloy in the 78th minute before Ben Arthurs curled in number five for Bangor off the upright in the 88th minute to complete the scoring.
Bangor have been drawn away to St. James Swifts in the semi-final of the O'Gorman Cup. (Date to be confirmed)

Bangor kicked off the new year with an emphatic 6-0 away league victory over Cookstown RBL this afternoon.
Mark Cooling curled in a trademark 25 yard free-kick after 13 minutes to open the scoring. A fantastic bit of skill from Gerard McMullan after 31 minutes saw him ease past the Cookstown keeper and then loft the ball into an unguarded net.
New signing Matthew Johnston marked his Bangor debut in explosive fashion. With an hour on the clock Matthew scored Bangor's third goal just seconds after coming on to the pitch. He followed that up with another close range strike seven minutes later to make it 4-0.
A spectacular 40 yard strike from Mark Cooling gave Bangor their fifth goal in the 78th minute. Gerard McMullan hit Bangor's sixth of the day with a low shot that turned out to be the last kick of the game.

The January transfer window is now open and we have already seen a number of comings and goings at the Bangor Fuels Arena.
Departing Bangor are defender Chris Getty who re-joins Ballyclare Comrades. Also leaving the club is midfielder Brandon Nelson who returns to H&W Welders. We wish both players every success for the future.
Returning to Bangor is midfield maestro Niall Atkinson. Niall returns to the Seasiders having spent 2018 with Knockbreda.
Two new faces have also been added to Hugh Sinclair's squad. Matthew Johnston, a 26 year old right-sided player and Steven Hislop (arriving from Lisburn Distillery) have both played under Hugh Sinclair at Knockbreda.
