Bangor F.C. - We Care You Matter Team

We Care You Matter is the Mental Health & Wellbeing team set up for all strands within Bangor Football Club.

The purpose of the team is to discuss all matters regarding Mental Health & Wellbeing. To discuss ideas regarding harnessing and promoting positive mental health as well as discussing mental illness and how it can have an impact on Bangor FC and the local community.

The team works with all areas in the club to ensure that every strand has the support and guidance it requires. They are available for everyone associated with Bangor FC.

The members of the team include:

Lee Purcell

Lee Purcell

Lee is a lifelong Bangor fan and has a wealth of knowledge working within the mental health profession.

Gary_Faulkner

Gary Faulkner

Affectionally known as Big G, Gary is the Club’s Chaplain and has a great relationship with the senior team and many strands throughout the club.

Kenny Greenhill

Kenny Greenhill

Mental Health and Wellbeing Officer for the club. Kenny is a Student Counsellor with SERC and has completing courses in Mental Health First Aid. Kenny also delivers mental health workshops for the IFA and Sport NI.


Kerry Ferguson

Kerry Ferguson

Kerry is a parent of a Bangor FC Academy player and has a keen interest in mental health and emotional wellbeing. Kerry regularly undertakes various mental health courses in her workplace.

Paul Cain

Paul Cain

Paul is the Community Relations Liaison Officer at the club and has a keen interest in mental health and emotional wellbeing.
