Bangor had a good workout in Newcastle today, and despite the scoreline produced an encouraging performance against Annagh United at Donard Park.
The Seasiders created most of the chances throughout the game, but were undone by a goal in each half.
Lewis Harrison went close for Bangor in the second half when he stretched to fire over from a few yards out, while defender Ryley D'Sena had a header cleared off the Annagh United goal line.

It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of our Club President and former director Billy Palmer this evening.
A familiar face around the club for many years, Billy took on a wide range of roles in both the Football Club and the Social Club.
Billy, who took on the position of Club President in July 2017 will be greatly missed by everyone at Bangor Football Club.
Our thoughts are with Iris, Tim, Caroline and all Billy's family and friends at this time.

In the curtailed 2019-20 Premier Intermediate League season, Bangor’s first following their promotion from the fourth-tier in the centenary season, a date with Annagh United was on the calendar. An early-season trip to Tandragee Road ended in a 2-1 defeat, the only match that ultimately took place between the two. Now they meet again, if not necessarily in a competitive second-tier environment as the Seasiders would have hoped for the term forthcoming.

Pre-season is back off to a flyer, with Bangor’s first game of a prospective eight-match listing kicking off this Thursday 30th June against Sirocco Works.
The feel around the club is an intense willingness to do what they failed to do last season and achieve promotion from the Premier Intermediate League, the third tier of the Northern Irish footballing pyramid, and is as true with the board as it is with the fans as it is with the players. There is no doubt that a Championship spot is the overarching target........

Disappointment for everyone as the COVID-19 pandemic causes the 2020/21 season to be cancelled. East Belfast win the invitational SureSeal Tournament and Nicky Davidson retires as Bangor Chairman and his role is taken up by Graham Bailie. Football gets back on track after the Covid-19 pandemic lockdowns.
The Seasiders part company with Hugh Sinclair just before the 2019/20 season is terminated early as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Lee Feeney is appointed Bangor Manager, but lockdowns limit the number of games that can be played in the 2020/21 season
